Camp Dates

June 23-26, 2024


Location

ECKERD COLLEGE is located in south St. Petersburg at 4200 54th Avenue South. Traveling from Tampa/Clearwater travel south on I-275 and take Exit 17. Traveling from the south take I-275 north, cross the Sunshine Skyway Bridge, and then take Exit 17.


Arrival

Arrivals will be scheduled (by camp) between 10:00am-1:00pm on Sunday (the first day of camp). Camp begins at 3:00pm and Meals begin with dinner on Sunday.


Classes generally run from 8:00am-11:30am, 12:30-4:30pm, 6:00-8:00pm. Class times vary slightly for each camp. Meals are not provided; however, day campers can buy meals or bring their own lunch/dinner.

Overnight Participant Fee
Early Bird: $415 (until April 30th)
Regular Fee: $450 (starting May 1st)
Overnight fee includes lodging, meals, and instruction.

Penny’s Camp will refund 50% of the registration fee. The remaining 50% will be retained as a non-refundable deposit.

Starting May 1
Penny’s Camp will retain 100% of the registration fee – no refunds.

Group Registration


Leadership & Drum Major Divisions: Rising 9th – 12th grade students Percussion & Color Guard Divisions: Rising 7th-12th grade students; Teachers/sponsors are invited to attend camp either as a student or chaperone.

Ages


ALL CAMPS: Poncho or rain coat, twin bed sheets, pillow, blanket, bath towel & wash cloth, soap, shampoo, and other personal hygiene items. All campers will have some outside sessions and should wear athletic clothing (shorts, t-shirts, and sneakers) and bring spending money for snacks.

LEADERSHIP CAMP students need to bring their marching instrument & a folding music stand.
DRUM MAJOR CAMP students need to bring a recording device (a phone is fine)
COLOR GUARD CAMP students need to bring their own flag, sabre, and or rifle
PERCUSSION CAMP students need to bring their own drum, harness, drum stand and 3-ring binder with plastic sleeves.

What to Bring


LEADERSHIP There are no final evaluations for the Leadership campers.
DRUM MAJOR Drum Major final evaluations will begin at 1:00pm in Miller Auditorium. There is no final evaluation or performance for the Leadership Camp. Times are approximate and are subject to change based on the number of students that each camp evaluates. Campers will be notified of any time changes and should inform their parents.
COLOR GUARD
Color Guard Final Evaluations will begin at 1:00pm on Wednesday in the Gymnasium. Times are approximate and are subject to change based on the number of students that each camp evaluates. Campers will be notified of any time changes and should inform their parents.
PERCUSSION
There are no final evaluations for the Marching Percussion campers.*

Final Evaluations


Final Performance & Awards

The Grand Finale Camp performances will begin at 3:00pm in the gym and will include all camp sections! These performances will be immediately followed by the Final Camp Awards Ceremony.


Once the Final Awards Ceremony is over, parents and campers return to the dorms to pick-up the camper’s personal items & RETURN THEIR ROOM KEY before heading home. All campers must be checked-out and picked up by 4:30pm.
